| Welcome to Moonfire Porcelain and a new era of workshops where learning the ancient art of pottery in a rustic, rural setting is now available to school age children and their parents. All classes are taught by a professional potter and licensed k-12 visual arts teacher. Roxann Sorenson has transformed her art studio into a classroom for the extension of her love and passion for clay.
2007 FALL SCHEDULE FOR CLAY WORKSHOPS
INTRODUCTION TO CLAY
In four-day workshop sessions, students will learn the basic hand building techniques of working in clay: pinch, slab and coil.

DEVELOPING SKILLS IN CLAY
In each four-day workshop session, students will continue learning clay techniques in relief and round sculpture, ceramics history, glazing and firing techniques.

TOTAL COST PER SESSION: $100
$75 (each session tuition) + $25 (materials & firing)
Classes are limited to 10 students. Any class of less than 5 may be canceled. Registration must be completed at least 2 weeks before the session begins. Refunds will be given in full if notice is given at least a week before the session begins.
Private lessons may be arranged as availability allows at the cost of $40 for a two-hour lesson. Materials and firing are not included in tuition for private lessons. |
